Create Your Own Historic Philadelphia Brochure

PROCESS

Step 1) You will be divided into groups of four students. Each person in the group will choose a color out of a hat.
The "yellow" student will research the Liberty Bell.
The "red" student will research the Betsy Ross House.
The "blue" student will research Independence Hall.
The "green" student will research Ben Franklin Court.

Step 2) Each group member should independently research your specific historical landmark by gathering important facts and information from both the website and other sources.
Step 3) Each group member will need to have at least 2 pictures with captions that display the landmark and address of the site you have selected.
Step 4) With the information gathered each student will include a paragraph with the most important information about the historical landmark.
Step 5) As a group, designed a cover for your brochure with pictures and a creative title. Please include all group members names on the cover as well.

On the back of the brochure create a map of all the historical landmarks you have researched. Be sure to include a map grid and map key directed your tourists to the proper locations.
